But it does so in accordance with ideas rooted in a method, or system of methods, that originated in the earliest days of Western Culture. Pythagoras, on of the earliest practitioners of this method, which eventually came to be called Numerology, was as interested in what a number meant as in what it measured. To him, numbers were more that things to count with. He found in them keys to deeper secrets. PRIME makes all of the numerological calculations for you. It reduces the input digits and finds the numbers representing your destiny, inner drive or desire, how you are viewed by others and more. Use this program with fun in mind.

If an enemy can touch Bachman, the poor Bachman will be eaten, but there are of course power pills ("turners") to enable Bachman to eat the enemies instead. However, Bachman has some features that you might not expect. The graphics are "pseudo-3D", not as flat as classic Pacman games. There are bonus objects ("overdrives" and "treasure chests"), teleporters, plus Bachman's ability to shoot biscuits at the enemies to delay them (but not to bypass them). Well, you'll notice all that when you play. Enjoy!

This solitary card game is to test your ability of organization (many IQ tests use this kind of method.) So, have your computer on and test yourself! Scores are dependent on time taken to solve the puzzle. A key factor - make sure you know where the blank space is supposed to end up!!

When a game starts, all the cards are dealt in 4 rows of 13 cards each. All the aces are then removed. This leaves 4 empty spaces. Cards can only be moved into the 4 empty spaces. The catch is that you can only move cards which are the same suit and one number higher than the card to the left of the space. It may sound confusing, but the author has done a great job explaining and showing pictures of every step of the game. Fun!

Mines 1.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:M:Mines 1.0 1.0 0 66K 9/16/93 Mines 1.0 - This is a version of the popular Mine Sweeper game. This application has been tested on many different Macintosh platforms, and has been successful in its initial release for over a year. Mines is 32 bit clean and compatible with Color Quickdraw and System 7.0. It features three levels of play, high scores, tasteful graphics, and just a few digitized sounds. Many tempting (and mostly distracting) features have been left out. This was for a couple of reasons - the interface had to be elegant, and it had to be small enough so many people would download it. I had originally planned to replace it with something smaller, but user testing revealed that it fit with the application very nicely.

The dictionary is based on the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary. You can guess any of the 8000+ five letter words; however, the computer will only pick from a subset of words the author has designated as "common" words). Good luck!

Newspapers, flyers, brochures; anything with hollow shapes waiting to be filled-in; these were my canvases. From such fond memories, Coloring Book has sprung. I wish I could say it suddenly appeared fully formed and debugged, a miracle of silicon on my hard disk. No such luck. Instead I had to fight off my two little children who are great beta testers, but a little short on patience. (Aren't we all?) They had some trouble understanding why they had to wait for daddy to finish the program before they could play with it. Enjoy!

Polytris GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:N-P:Polytris 0 172K 7/22/93 Polytris - Polytris is a game with falling polyomino blocks,1 to 5 connected square blocks. The objective is to stay in game by removing rows. Tetris is one of variations of Polytris which uses only tetrominoes, 4 connected squares. Polytris is more challenging because it has 29 kinds of blocks, bombs, weights and water balloons. Depending on your skill, you can adjust the difficulty of the game. Version 1.01 works with upper and lower case keys. 'Configure Key' dialog is displayed properly.
Fidget 1.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:F-G:Fidget 1.0 1.0 0 260K 7/22/93 Fidget 1.0 - Fidget, (as you'll see in the "About Dialog") is a fast paced word game that challenges your spelling ability "To the Limits"! You are given tiles that you have to put on the board, sometimes using letters more than once. It is like playing crosswords, but you have the letters and no clues! The sound effects are very important to the ambiance of the game and adds a level of minor distraction, testing your concentration levels as well as your ability to hold back from swearing at your monitor. This is a fun word game which comes with a built in dictionary. Playing against the Mac is hard, but don't get too frustrated, even the author/programmer has only won once!
Concentroids1.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:C:Concentroids1.0 1.0 0 848K 7/22/93 Concentroids1.0 - This is a new full and beautiful color concentration game. The premise of the game is quite simple. It’s very similar to the other “Concentration” type of games you’ve played with before. There are a certain number of tiles on the screen (which you can specify), and the purpose is to match pairs of Concentroids (great animated things) hidden beneath each tile. There are some additional “extras” however, that gives the game a little spice - time limit, scoring, wildcards, consecutive matches give bonuses, statistics, and cool sound effects, music and animation. Even if you don't like concentration games, this one is cool! Requires System 7. Take a look!
Blockade 0.91 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:B:Blockade 0.91 0.91 0 262K 7/22/93 Blockade 0.91 - Blockades is a color (or b/w) game where (basically) you push blocks around a screen to try to get rid of all of them. Sound easy? It is not. Blocks come in two colors and four shapes - square, ring, plus and diamond. That's also the hierarchy in which the blocks are ordered, with diamond being the highest block. Pushing two blocks together of the same order but of opposite color transmogrifies the two blocks into one block of the next lowest order, or in the case of pushing two squares together, both will disappear. The hard part is that you have to push blocks of opposite color together, and sometimes the blocks get stuck up against walls. The music is enjoyable, as is the game.
Pathways Into DarknessDemo GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:N-P:Pathways Into DarknessDemo 0 691K 7/15/93 Pathways Into DarknessDemo - This is most assuredly the HOTEST GAME ever to be released on the Macintosh! Pathways Into Darkness employs continuous-motion, 3-D, texture-mapped graphics. It is a real-time three dimensional game like Spectre and Hellcats, except it uses Texture Mapping to make much more realistic looking graphics. This game has technology similar to that used in the PC games Ultima Underworld and Wolfenstein 3-D, but now it is on the Mac with better, hi-res graphics. Pathways also has Active Panning Stereo Sound. The sounds actually play in the left or right channel depending on their location in the game! This demo is fully functional and has three special levels not in the release version.

The game display is small, but it is cute, and just like the old arcade Pacman. Shareware.
MacGrid 2.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:M:MacGrid 2.0 2.0 0 52K 7/07/93 MacGrid 2.0 - MacGrid is a very simple program based on simple logic. Upon choosing the difficulty level, you are presented with a grid of squares. Your objective is to determine which of those squares contain mines and which do not. To do this, begin by clicking on any square in the grid. If you are lucky, it will not contain a mine, but will instead change to either a number or a blank square. This number or empty square tells you how many mines are in the immediately surrounding eight squares (six if you clicked on a side square, or three if you clicked on a corner square). This is a game of luck and logic based on the traditional MineSweeper.
Loyd's Lunacy GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:H-L:Loyd's Lunacy 0 52K 7/07/93 Loyd's Lunacy - This is the computer version of a game created by Sam Loyd, a 1800's mathematician who created Parchessi, the original that Apple's Puzzle DA is based on, and Loyd's Lunacy. This puzzle insanity game has 9 blocks (3 different sizes) where you have to move the large square from the upper right hand corner of the board to the upper left hand cornder by sliding the pieces around. Harder than it sounds. The author will send you a certificate if you solve it, and the addresses to buy a hand held (non-computer) version are given in the game. Don't pull your hair out on this one!
Lottery Simulator GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:H-L:Lottery Simulator 0 54K 7/07/93 Lottery Simulator - Lottery Simulator is the Lottery players BEST friend. You pick your numbers, and you actually get to see how well they do. This is a simulation type game, you pick numbers and see how well they do. It's a good way to figure out if you're having a lucky day. Kidding aside, one of my friends won $78 with the help of this magnificent program! And it's only $10! After paying the shareware fee, the author can send you different lottery setups and state programs. Good luck!
Lembracs 1.1 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:H-L:Lembracs 1.1 1.1 0 27K 7/07/93 Lembracs 1.1 - Lembracs (you don’t have to be real clever to see that’s a kind-of messed-up way to spell scramble) — is a scrambled-word game for up to four players. It gives you a jumbled word and you must put the letters in the right order. You have a choice of words from three through eight letters long. There is a timer to make the game more interesting. Read the included docs, play is not totally intuitive. NOTE - Lembracs has a vocabulary of 1200 words, 200 of each length, stored in its resource file. Those who know how to use ResEdit can modify or add words by changing the ‘STR#’ resources of the game. Make sure you know what you’re doing, though! ResEdit is not for the casual user.
SimCity Bank 1.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:S:SimCity Bank 1.0 1.0 0 10K 7/01/93 SimCity Bank 1.0 - For those people who play the great SimCity or SimcCity Supreme game and keep on running out of money, or could do so much more with a little more money, or just love to cheat, I wrote this little program to allow them to do just that. Simply open your city, specify how much money you want, and your interest-free, infinite term loan is granted on the spot! (Does not seem to increase the amount of catastrophic events!)
PoPMap1.0beta5 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:N-P:PoPMap1.0beta5 1.0b5 0 29K 7/01/93 PoPMap1.0beta5 - This is a heavy duty, although beta, editor for the very popular Prince of Persia game. (Should also work on the demo?). The editor lets you change the room configurations, add and remove walls, open and close gates, place potions, and even change how hard the evil men are to kill! This should produce some fun varieties of the game!! As always, don't use the editor on your original disks!!
Lemmings Demo 1.30 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:H-L:Lemmings Demo 1.30 1.30Demo 0 618K 7/01/93 Lemmings Demo 1.30 - This is a four-level "mini-game" version of the hit game Lemmings(TM). The complete game consists of 120 levels of mind-boggling game play. Lemmings is an intriguing game in which you help hordes of otherwise mindless rodents (known as Lemmings) escape 120 hostile environments. (This demo version has four levels.) A quick brain, the ability to plan ahead, and a lifetime dedication to the Save a Lemming Campaign are what's required to get the right Lemming to perform the right action at the right time. A forgotten Blocker or a misplaced bridge could spell disaster for every Lemming on the screen. I love this demo! It is different from the previous demo versions. Read the Read Me for help!

Great for the Golf enthusiast!

FRAC 1.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:F-G:FRAC 1.0 1.0 0 285K 6/28/93 FRAC 1.0 - This is one of the hardest Tetris / Welltris games I've played. It's similar to Welltris, but it's three dimensional (or four after you pay the shareware fee). FRAC's nifty features include - Game window scales up and down to any size (height/width ratio is fixed), all color modes are supported, but more than 256 colors will only use more memory, Full control over game sounds, keyboard, colors, and "Boss screen", and Hiscores can be viewed by other order than highest score. If you like the Tetris series, be sure to check this one out!

Dollhouse 2.4 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:D-E:Dollhouse 2.4 2.4 0 113K 6/22/93 Dollhouse 2.4 - The attraction of this application is the animated items that come together as a dolls house. You are presented with many items to design your dollhouse, and as you place them, they all start moving. Also, you can select Browse and click at the base of various items to explore. The speed of animation will vary with the number of items and the type of machine, and the position of the cursor. The grid that is used in dolls house is 32 dots by 32 dots with each section of a wall being two items. One, with the floor, and the other, with a ceiling. So we can have lights or fans above beds or chairs. Dollhouse can be used in color, by clicking on the colour button in the first screen.

The object of the program is to allow you to construct a pipeline and watch as a ball makes it's way through the maze. Do not place pipes into the first column as there is a bug that the author is working on. The ball will cross underneath straight sections of pipe. Running one pipe into another can result in loops, this may be good or this may be bad.

Sokoban 1.1 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:S:Sokoban 1.1 1.1 0 31K 6/02/93 Sokoban 1.1 - Sokoban is a puzzle game. The object is to push treasures into safe places. What makes it hard is that you can only push one treasure at a time (they’re too heavy to push two at once), and there are no handholds (you can only push, not pull). So you have to make sure that you don’t get a treasure stuck in a corner, or that you don’t get two of them stuck against each other. It will usually take some thought (maybe quite a bit) to figure out how to solve a level. But all 85 levels are solvable. And you can make your own levels when you get tired of the ones included.

She liked very much “BachMan”, but it was a bit too difficult and fast to play. So, as her birthday was approaching, and I was at home ill, I decided to write her this simple game. It is a poor B/W game, as I’ve got only an old and glorious mac SE, and I’ve written it in THINK Pascal. It should run on any macintosh running sys 6.04 or later. If you find any bug or have problems with the game, contact me and I’ll try to fix them (if I have time) I used a lot of icon in the menus in order to make them easy to understand to a child.

This is the new Mac version (v3.1). This is a very sophisticated D&D style game. Unlike 3.0, NetHack 3.1 is a multi-dungeon game. New dungeons "branch" off the main dungeon at different locations. A unifying mythology was adopted for the game. There are tasks which must be completed in various dungeons before the main task of capturing the Amulet can be undertaken. There are different quests for the different character classes.

Certain configurations (i.e. 16 MHz CPU's like the LC and LC II) may even run best in 2- or 4-color mode. This a fun game 3D bashing.

MalestromSprites GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:M:MalestromSprites 0 165K 3/26/93 MalestromSprites - Colorful replacements for the asteroids, explosions, etc. in Maelstrom. Sort of a 4th of July fireworks look. Just replace the existing Maelstrom Sprites file with this one. In the spirit of Zomba Soul who uploaded a nice new set of funky sounds for Maelstrom, I modified the 'sprites' used in the game by adding lots of new color. If you find that the mostly grey but anatomically-correct asteroids are wearing a little thin, these new neon models might be just the thing to bring a little excitement into your life.

MenuBall 1.0 GameDL Trilogy II:Files:Game:M:MenuBall 1.0 1.0 0 5K 10/26/92 MenuBall - is a small extension (it may become a Control Panel in the future)that puts a bouncing ball in your menu bar. It doesn't slow up your Mac too much, and it shouldn't give you any bombs (but I make no warranties on this: use it at your own risk). Sometimes the ball is not erased properly and leaves a sign on your menu bar. I'll see if I can fix it, but it's absolutely harmless. Just switch to another application to have the menu bar redrawn properly. The ball speed depends on the application you're using, if the ball stops, the application is not written properly and desk accessories called from inside it won't work either.

The sound of the coins dropping is even more enticing and the light murmur of gamblers can be heard in the background. You'd swear you were at Harrah's in Reno or Lake Tahoe instead of in the comfort of your own home.
